Bridge over ceremony- this is the ultimate Cub Scout event.  Webelos II have gone as far as they can in Cub Scouts, and “Bridge over” to Boy Scouts.  In preparation for this event boys will attend meetings with each of the two Scout Troops, and will decide ahead of time which they would like to join.  At this event they will make their choice known.  This event is typically coordinated with the Boy Scout troops allowing them to make the event really special for the boys joining them.  Often there will be Indian lore involved, as well as some history to make the event really special.  After this event many of the boys will finish their year of Cub Scouting, and continue with the Boy Scouts.  Having this event before the year is actually over will allow the boys to join the older scouts and become comfortable with them before the summer camps begin.
