Webelos Woods

Webelos Woods is an outdoor program activity designed to aid in the Webelos to Scout transition plan. The purpose is to help form a desire to know more about Boy Scouting and give Webelos a preview of the thrills of Scouting.

Webelos Woods gives Scout an opportunity to take a step up from Cub Scouting by camping with experienced Boy Scout Troops. The weekend is designed as a Den activity, much like Boy Scout Camporee. Although the structure is different from Mom&Me and Dad&Lad campouts, BSA camp safety regulations still require an adult to accompany each Webelos Scout.

Suggested items include glow sticks, fire starters, snacks, drinks, fixin's for s'mores, cameras, cots or air mattresses, and fishing gear. Ask others who have gone before for their suggestions as well.
A map of Camp Dierks is here. But we suggest you caravan with others from our pack who are going on the same weekend. Pack 12 campers will all be stationed in the same area within the camp. A map of the layout of the camping and activity areas is here.

You should also take spending cash, as the Camp runs a scout store with "must have" items, such as slush puppies, walking sticks, etc.
