Den 2 Webelos Earn Their Handyman
Den 2 Webelos had a bright idea at a recent Den meeting.
They performed the necessary requirements to earn their Handyman! Yea! Den 2.
Of course, they also took time to build some really cool marshmellow guns!!!
Plain white is boring, so a variety of colors were added.
When the paint gets thick, it runs. Here one cub is directing the flow down.
These scouts are learning to use a rachet to adjust a bicycle seat.
All of the scouts got to participate and have a turn.
This Webelos Scout is learning about torque!
Sometimes you have to add air to a bicycle tire.
Of course, it helps to have an electric pump!! : )
A well-lubricated chain wont rust and will work more efficiently.
Cars use oil too! Their oil goes in the engine.
These Scouts are learning to read an oil gauge.
It looks full to me.
One scout tries a more musical approach.
We call this the "violin method" : )
You have to have a tire guage to read its pressure.
Lefty loosy were the catchwords as this scout loosened lug nuts on a tire.
Once the nuts were loosened, you have to jack up the car.
